Char Kway Teow

Char Kway Teow is a dish of flat rice noodles that is fried in garlic, sweet soya sauce and lard along with egg, chinese waxed sausages, fish cake, beansprouts and cockles.

This dish, of Teochew origins, is a famous food among hawker centres and coffeeshops in Malaysia.

Skilled control of the fire while cooking this dish can add to the flavor of the dish and it was said that a charcoal fire provides the best flavor.
